Just the job

Having used compression wear prescribed by my doctor, I had found that consistant wear had caused me more discomfort than the condition I was treating. Therefore, I didn't wear them as often as I should.

Because I am on my feet 7 hours a day when I'm at work, I do need something, so I tried Pebble Uk.

I found choosing, ordering and delivery easy and prompt.

The hosiery takes a little time to put on properly, but it's not the ordeal I've had in the past. They offered firm support , but without the pain.

I've found them really effective and will order more.

The only compression footwear I will use...

I'm 44 and had a DVT (mid calf to mid thigh) and bilateral PE's around 5yrs ago, an awful experience, so now when I fly, I need robust compression footwear that fits and can offer me peace of mind whilst I fly long haul. Pebble gives me that - I don't buy any other compression sock. In the past I've tried general socks and they just don't come up to scratch. I highly reccommend Pebble and these type of knee highs are now my go-to for all journeys including my daily commute. They look great with my work outfit - they have a slight shine and they're very professional in looks - and my legs feel like they've the added protection. They fit well, they're well made, a quality product, unlike many out there that rip or split, none of my Pebble products ever have.

This product is a 10/10 for me. Highly reccommended for added peace of mind when travelling on long flights.

Not so good

I bought these for firmer compression, however they do roll down and start to cut into the calf. Perhaps they could do with being a little longer as they only just fit in the length, but soon drop on walking.

Great Product needs better colour choice

I have now been using this product for just over a year, after getting a DVT. I wear these sock under trousers and they are great and over all, probably represent as good valua as regular knee highs which ladder easily. They definately are the most comfy of the high compression socks I have tried.

My only complaint is that the nude is more like American Tan, I have taken to washing them with colour remover (once) to make them a little lighter and, I would dearly like a black sock for work. Though I am white, what do our Asian and Afircan sisters do for choice, eh? So, come on pebble, make a great product better and give us a little more choice?

Pebble UK Says: Hi Lyn, Thanks for the great review. We wholeheartedly agree with you on the colour choices, we are constantly nagging our suppliers for better choice of colours, but unfortunately we have no control over the manufacturers decisions. Rest assured Lyn, if they start making different colour choices, we will be sure to stock them.

The long and the short of it…

PROS:

They work

They are firm without hurting

They arent too hard to put on (mobility allowing)

CONS:

They are too short so roll over and pinch at top

The nude is much darker than my skintone but I am very very fair

The nude is sparkly which is very dated and not nude

IN CONCLUSION:

it is unusual to find high level compression socks which are so easy to put on and so comfortable. That is why it is such a shame that they are so short because this makes them roll over at the top and dig jn as the top is round the widest part of my calves. It is odd because my ankle and calf measurements fall exactly in the centre of the XL size, and my legs are only 31" long so I cannot imagine how many people they would fit. Although I have mentioned the aesthetics of the socks in my negatives, they look fine and as I mention in the positives they work and that is what matters. My oedema goes down fast and my aching legs are even minimised. I have not yet worn them long enough to comment on the long term effects on thread veins etc.

Overall these are effective and comfortable. The only issue is the short length. If you have legs around 28" or less then these socks will be great for you. Otherwise go for others that dictate length in the sizing chart.
