These are an excellent choice if you need the closest thing to real tights. I wear formal dresses and heels to work and these give an excellent slight sheen, perfect colour, perfect support. My only wish would be for a slightly heavier reinforced toe to avoid my toes going through them after a few wears - I would like them to last a little longer. But given the options I am very happy with the overall function of these tights

I bought size XL and found that the extra panel really helps the comfort around the top. The massaging sole took a little bit of getting used to, but I do find them quite comfy as I have corns under the balls of my feet.
The compression is just right around ankles and lower legs without being restrictive higher up the leg. These are my everyday tights and I would love to buy a range of different colours, but having just lost a couple of stones, I'm dithering over the correct size to order next time.
